Privacy

Hiero Studio is run by Isabella Lütken and Rhianna Padman. We decide how the information you give us through this website is used, which makes us its controllers under UK data protection law. You can reach us about anything on this page at contact@hierostudio.com.

What we collect

The contact form: your name, email address, industry, the type of project and your message.

The network form: your name, email address, discipline, a link to your portfolio and your introduction.

Email: whatever you choose to send us when you write to us directly.

Visiting the site: our host keeps standard server logs (such as IP address, browser and the page requested) to run the site and keep it secure. We don’t use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies. The site saves one setting in your browser, whether you chose the light or dark theme, and it never leaves your device.

Why we use it

To reply to you, to talk through a project you’ve asked us about, and to consider you for work through our network. We rely on our legitimate interest in answering people who contact us, and, where you’re asking us to work with you, on taking the steps you’ve asked for before a contract. We don’t sell your information, add you to a mailing list or use it for anything you wouldn’t expect.

Who handles it for us

Formspree receives the forms and passes them to our inbox. Google Workspace runs our email. Vercel hosts the website. Each of them processes data on our behalf, under its own data protection terms. Some of them store data outside the UK, mainly in the United States; where they do, the transfer is covered by recognised safeguards such as standard contractual clauses or the UK–US data bridge.

How long we keep it

Enquiries and network applications are kept for up to two years after we were last in touch, then deleted. If we go on to work together, we keep project correspondence for as long as we need it for the work and our records.

Your rights

You can ask us for a copy of what we hold about you, ask us to correct it or delete it, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email us and we’ll answer within a month.

If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk, or to the data protection authority where you live. We’d appreciate the chance to put it right first.
